OFFICE OF STATE REVENUE (OSR)
OSR enquiry fee regarding current or outstanding land tax:

Transfer Duty is a tax levied on documents and transactions involving a sale or transfer of property. The buyer is responsible for paying the transfer duty on a contract for the sale of land and the related transfer. Please refer to Office of State Revenue website for more information.
Transfer Duty (formerly known as Stamp Duty) is payable by the Buyer on the Contract and is based upon the purchase price.

* General Rate applies when neither the Residential Rate nor the First Home Buyer Rate is applicable (see below). This usually applies when:
- The property is Vacant Land (see exceptions below); or
- Purchasing a Business.
** Residential Rate applies when:
- There is a residence on the land (regardless of whether the Buyer will occupy the property);
- The Buyer has begun construction of a residence on the land;
- The Buyer has entered into a contract for the construction of a residence on the land; or
- The Buyer has entered into a contract to purchase a movable building that will be affixed to the land and be a residence, irrespective of whether the land is also used for another purpose.
*** First Home Buyer's Rate applies when:
- The Buyer is eligible for the First Home Owners Grant; and
- In the case of a Home, the value of the Home is less than $600,000; or
- In the case of Vacant Land where a Home Building Contract has been signed or construction commenced; the value of the Land is less than $400,000

WATER CORPORATION
Water rates are adjusted on the settlement date. The Buyer must reimburse the Seller from the settlement date until 30 June each year. Allow for each month approximately:

Council rates are adjusted on the settlement date. The Buyer must reimburse the Seller for Council rates from the settlement date until 30 June each year. The amount varies depending on the LGA. Allow for each month approximately:
